Wedding Wednesday: ‘How to be a 1950’s Housewife’ Bridal Shower, full of retro fun & vintage charm!

This is Part Two of this week’s Wedding Wednesday series! That’s right, today is a two-for-one special 🙂 Check out this week’s Part One- Fiesta like there’s no Mañana Bachelorette Party here or if you missed last week’s proposal story you can click here!

Because my Bachelorette Party/Bridal Shower/Birthday Weekend Extravaganza is full of so many fun details, today’s post is broken up into two! See the link for Part One above and read on for Part Two!

'How to be a 1950's Housewife' Bridal Shower, chock-full of retro-goodness!

After the uber-awesome, super-fun Bachelorette Fiesta at Cocoa Beach– since we obviously spent the final night drinking champagne and giggling until well-after 2 AM- we were all feeling pretty rough. That morning we were definitely hungover central!

Somehow though we managed to get our acts together {I honestly don’t know how, super human strength!} and packed up, cleaned up, and donned our 1950’s best 🙂

My family {my sister, sister in law, nieces, mom, aunt and cousins, and even my daddy helped!} had gotten there ahead of my arrival and decorated the Baldwin Park Clubhouse with the CUTEST Retro touches! It was irreverently 1950’s housewife AKA absolutely awesome and my DREAM shower!!

Once everyone got settled in, it was time for lunch! We had a delicious catered brunch with casseroles {wouldn’t be a 50’s theme without it!}, roasted asparagus, wedge salad, fruit and crackers, warm rolls, and my special favorites- deviled eggs and baked brie 🙂

After some socializing and food, it was time for presents! Erin was a genius and made a game of the gift opening in a Wedding Present BINGO: Each person filled out their card with what they thought I would be given and then as I opened up the presents, they marked which ones were right! The first one in a row yelled out BINGO. It was such a cute idea and kept people more entertained then just sitting there watching me cry at cards haha.

After I bawled my eyes out thanking everyone for how special they made me feel {I know, typical}, we moved onto the final event of the weekend- Gumball Question & Answers!

John had answered a set of questions my sister emailed to him about our relationship and if I got the answer wrong then I had to put a gumball in my mouth!

Laughing because John answered a LOT of the questions inappropriately ha… Typical!

Then I started debating about answers haha because he answered multiple questions wrong!!! Grrr!

Even though my fiance DID answer a lot of the questions incorrectly 😉 it made for even more laughter and fun. My mouth was too full of gumballs to debate much towards the end! It became a hilarious game and I will make sure to post the questionnaire Erin had him fill out here soon for those that may be interested in using the game for themselves.

This 1950’s Housewife Bridal Shower was truly a dream come true and it was the best ending to a once-in-a-lifetime weekend for me!!
